Shen Mengchen says the artist who has had the greatest influence on her work is Yang Mi.

Shen Mengchen recently talked about Yang Mi's influence on herself. Yang Mi is one of China's most well-known actresses and has a storied career. She has starred in hit dramas like Palace, Swords of Legends, Eternal Love, Legend of Fuyao, and more.   Shen Mengchen admitted that the artist who has had the greatest influence on her work/job is Yang Mi. She was full of praise regarding Yang Mi's behavior and dedication to the job when recording shows.  From what Shen Mengchen said, it's clear that seniors have a huge impact on their juniors in the industry, and the positive behavior of some artists can encourage other artists to follow in their footsteps and work hard. Netizens reacted in the following manner: Comments: 1. What I admire most is that she never sells a pitiful act. She clearly understands that everyone has their own hardships. [+53685] Response: She really, really understands. There was one time during which Zhang Dada interviewed her and he said something (

Su Mang sparks anger after saying that 650 yuan ($101) is not enough money for a day's worth of food.

On a recent episode of a new variety show, Su Mang's words sparked anger in netizens as it reminded them once again about the disparity between the rich and the poor. The growing class divide has become a significant social issue in recent years. Su Mang is a businesswoman and the editor-in-chief of Harper's Bazaar China. She is one of the most influential figures in the world of Chinese fashion. Su Mang: "Every day, each of you should first pay food expenses." Chen Chenchen: "Let's first settle upon a number, everyone can pay this." Song Dandan: "Then let's do 650." Su Mang: "No, 650 isn't enough." Song Dandan: "Why?" He even brought 99 roses to gift to her. On January 15, 2014, Tong Liya posted on Weibo photos of the two of them, and she also posted a confession of love: "We are very much in love, I have married the right person." The director of Happy Camp responds to comments that nowadays, whoever is popular goes on the program (rather than in previous years, in which Happy Camp could make people popular).

During an interview, Gan Yi, the director of Happy Camp, responded to the debate brought upon by comments along the lines of "Nowadays, whoever is popular gets to go on Happy Camp. In the past, whoever went on Happy Camp got popular." He said that the root cause of this change is that nowadays, the Internet has the greatest ability to create exposure. Popularity first begins to spread through Weibo. For a weekly variety show, no matter how quickly you work to produce it, you still require at least a week for it to air.  For the episode with the two leads from Word of Honor, there was only a gap of a week between recording and broadcast. In fact, the appearance was scheduled just after Word of Honor had broadcast its second episode. But indeed, they cannot beat the speed with which things happen on the Internet.

Anticipated dramas for 2021

A list of dramas I'm looking forward to for 2021. There are a lot of dramas with big-name actors or based off of well-known IPs coming out this year, and here are some of the ones that I'm most looking forward to.

Drama recommendations from 2020-2021

Starting off this new blog not with the usual translations, but with some recommendations of dramas from the past year. I finish maybe 20% of the dramas I actually begin. (Will usually drop after the first 2 or 3 episodes if the storyline isn't compelling enough to keep my attention.) That said, there were a couple of gems that I discovered this past year (aka June 2020 and later) that I would highly recommend to all readers.
