Part 2 of an update on events that have happened in the world of C-ent this past week (May 7-May 14):
1. Zeng Li posted on Weibo to clarify that she is unmarried. She said: "I am currently unmarried, because I feel like with regards to loving and being loved, those qualities are not measured by whether you are married or not." Previous, media had filmed her walking and behaving sweetly with an unknown man.
2. Netizens praise actor Li Yifeng for helping a young actress keep cool during the opening ceremony for the filming of his new drama. Since the weather was hot at the time, he helped lift up the hair of the young actress so that she could stay cool.
3. Hong Kong heiress and businesswoman Laurinda Ho (daughter of famous tycoon Stanley Ho) celebrated her 30th birthday this past week. Her boyfriend, actor Dou Xiao (Shawn Dou), attended the celebrations as well as a large group of her friends. The two were spotted behaving sweetly in various videos and photographs taken during the event.
4. In an amusing turn of events, fans of Fan Chengcheng accidentally mistook his father for the celebrity himself and greeted him! The young idol was traveling alongside his parents. This case of mistaken identity was soon resolved, however, Later, Fan Chengcheng exited the car and waved to the waiting group of fans.
5. Congratulations are in order for Xi Mengyao (best known for her work in modeling under the name Ming Xi) and Mario Ho (businessman and one of the heirs of Hong Kong tycoon Stanley Ho). On Mother's Day (May 9 in China), the two revealed that Xi Mengyao is pregnant with their second child. Xi previously gave birth to a son named Ronaldo Ho in 2019. The couple married several months prior to that after an elaborate proposal ceremony that featured 99,999 roses in Shanghai in May 2019.
